ABOUT ROSA

Rosa was raised in South Philadelphia and is the only one of her siblings to be born in the United States. Her parents fled Cambodia during the brutal Khmer Rouge regime in the 1970s, arriving in America with nothing in search of a better future. During the Cambodian genocide, nearly 90% of the country's artists were killed, leaving a lasting impact on Cambodia's cultural heritage. Their story, along with the loss of so many creatives, inspired Rosa to pursue a career in the arts and contribute to preserving creativity through her own work.

In 2012, Rosa began her professional journey by attending one of the prestigious Paul Mitchell Schools, where she earned her cosmetology license. She spent the early years of her career working in a salon while freelancing on the side, building her skills across weddings, commercial productions, editorial shoots, and film. Today, with over a decade of professional experience, Rosa freelances full-time and has established herself as a trusted hair and makeup artist.

Rosa specializes in commercial, e-commerce, editorial, television, film/tv, and bridal hair and makeup. She is a proud member of IATSE Local 798. She was Hair Department Head for Netflix's Tires, leading the hair department on one of the platform's hit comedy series. Her portfolio also includes work for major brands and productions such as David's Bridal, The Netflix House, Microsoft, Ikea, and FanDuel Casino. Whether she's on set, backstage, or helping a bride feel her best, Rosa is passionate about creating polished, natural-looking hair and makeup tailored to each client. Based in Philadelphia, she is available for travel worldwide.
